Grants available for small businesses using AI to tackle local challenges
The GSMA has introduced the Innovation Fund for Impactful AI, aiming to support small businesses in developing countries that use artificial intelligence (AI) to address local socio-economic and climate issues. The fund offers grants and business support to help these enterprises grow and make a positive impact.
The fund is open to small and growing businesses in low- and middle-income countries across Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. It seeks innovative solutions that combine AI with mobile technology to benefit underserved communities. Grants range from £100,000 to £250,000, provided over 15 to 18 months.
