
Minister Commissions 9.6-Kilometre Road Project in Delta State
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has reconstructed the 9.6-kilometre Abraka-Oben Road in Delta State, aiming to improve transportation and boost regional development. Minister of Regional Development, Abubakar Momoh, officially commissioned the road, highlighting the Federal Government’s commitment to the Niger Delta’s progress.
In a significant move to enhance infrastructure in the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has completed the reconstruction of the 9.6-kilometre Abraka-Oben Road in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State. The project aims to improve transportation links and stimulate economic activities in the region.
Minister of Regional Development, Abubakar Momoh, inaugurated the road, emphasising the Federal Government’s dedication to the development of the Niger Delta. He praised the NDDC’s board and management for their efforts in realising President Bola Tinubu’s vision for the area.
Chiedu Ebie, Chairman of the NDDC Board, noted that the project reflects the administration’s goal to transform the Niger Delta into a peaceful and prosperous zone. He expressed pride in the progress made, especially as a native of Delta State.
Managing Director of NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku, reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to implementing the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the region. He highlighted the prevailing peace and satisfaction among youths and stakeholders as evidence of the commission’s successful initiatives.
The completion of the Abraka-Oben Road is expected to facilitate better movement, enhance trade, and contribute to the overall development of the Niger Delta region.
