Initiative Aims to Uncover and Promote Local Talent
Ambassador Blessing Fubara, CEO of D’Consiglories LLC, has announced the launch of the Niger Delta Music and Arts Project (MAP). This programme seeks to discover and support young talents in the region, providing them with opportunities to showcase their skills. Auditions are set to begin on 28th February 2025 across the nine Niger Delta states.
In a move to uplift the youth of the Niger Delta, Ambassador Blessing Fubara, Managing Director and CEO of D’Consiglories LLC, has unveiled the Niger Delta Music and Arts Project (MAP). This initiative is designed to identify and nurture young talents in music and the arts, offering them a platform to display their abilities to both national and international audiences.
Originally conceptualised as part of the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) PROJECT HOPE, MAP faced delays due to internal challenges within the Commission. Addressing these setbacks, Ambassador Fubara has committed to advancing the project independently through D’Consiglories LLC. He emphasised the company’s dedication to integrity and transparency in serving the Niger Delta community.
“The Niger Delta is rich in talent and potential,” Ambassador Fubara stated during a press briefing in Port Harcourt. “Delays shouldn’t stop us from empowering our people. We have a responsibility to support our youth and provide real opportunities for growth.”
MAP auditions are scheduled to commence on 28th February 2025 across all nine states in the Niger Delta. The project aims to uncover and promote artistic talents, offering young creatives the chance to shine and gain exposure.
Beyond MAP, Ambassador Fubara has also pledged to tackle unemployment in the region. Utilising the database developed for PROJECT HOPE, D’Consiglories LLC plans to employ 18 qualified but jobless individuals from the Niger Delta each month, placing them in various industries.
“We’re not sidelining the NDDC,” he clarified. “Instead, we’re fulfilling our promise and upholding our corporate integrity to our stakeholders, ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations.”
This initiative is poised to make a significant impact on the creative and entertainment sectors, positioning the Niger Delta as a hub for artistic excellence. Further details about the audition process and event schedule will be shared in the coming weeks.
