
Leaders Defend Dikio, Urge Focus on Regional Development
Niger Delta youth leaders have refuted claims of nepotism and misconduct against the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) coordinator, Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd). They assert that these allegations are baseless and politically motivated, urging stakeholders to support Dikio’s efforts in advancing peace and development in the region.
Youth leaders from the Niger Delta have come forward to defend the coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd), against recent accusations of nepotism and other misconduct. The leaders describe these allegations as unfounded and driven by political interests aiming to destabilise the progress achieved under Dikio’s leadership.
In a statement released after a meeting in Port Harcourt, the youth representatives highlighted Dikio’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and the empowerment of ex-agitators through various initiatives. They emphasised that since assuming office, Dikio has prioritised the welfare of beneficiaries and has worked tirelessly to foster sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
The youth leaders called on all stakeholders to disregard the unfounded claims and to unite in supporting the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and promote growth in the region. They warned that distractions stemming from baseless accusations could derail the significant progress made thus far.
They also urged the media to exercise caution and verify information before publication, to prevent the spread of misinformation that could incite unrest. The leaders reaffirmed their confidence in Dikio’s leadership and expressed optimism about the future trajectory of the Presidential Amnesty Programme under his guidance.
