2025 Nigeria Signature Leadership Journey

WomenLift Health and WILAN introduce a 12-month journey to boost women’s leadership in the health sector

WomenLift Health, in partnership with the Women In Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN), has launched the inaugural Nigeria Leadership Journey. This fully-funded, 12-month programme offers mid-career women in health a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership skills through mentorship, coaching, and a supportive network.

WomenLift Health, collaborating with the Women In Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN), has unveiled the first Nigeria Leadership Journey. This 12-month, fully-funded programme is tailored for mid-career women in the health sector, aiming to bolster their leadership capabilities.

Participants will engage in a transformative experience that includes two in-person learning residencies—Immersion and Lift-Off. The journey also encompasses virtual learning sessions, group mentoring, one-on-one coaching, and a self-directed leadership project. Throughout the programme, attendees will be supported by a community of peers, mentors, and coaches, fostering a strong sense of belonging and empowerment.

The initiative is designed to provide a safe space for women to explore authentic leadership through reflection and vulnerability. It aims to equip participants with tools and strategies to amplify their voice, presence, and influence within the health sector. By bringing together women from diverse disciplines and sectors, the programme seeks to address complex challenges in global public health today.

Upon completion, alumnae will join a lifelong network of allies at local, regional, and global levels. This community will continue to support each other and new cohort members, advocating for women’s leadership in health.

The Nigeria Leadership Journey reflects a commitment to enhancing women’s leadership in health, providing them with the skills and networks necessary to drive systemic change in their fields.
